Alex woke up with an ear ache yesterday, so I gave him some Tylenol and tried to call the Doctor. Of course he wasn't in, so I called my insurance company to find out what other options there were. I did NOT want to spend my whole day at the emergency room. Instead, I spent half of my day at a Prompt Care. In Ohio, Prompt Care type places were where you went when you had no insurance. Apparently, in Michigan people use Prompt Care as their family doctor. People with insurance, too.
Luckily, the woman who spent 30 minutes coughing and sneezing on us (despite my best dirty looks) found out her TB test was negative.
As most of south east Michigan is sick, it was a long morning.
After we filled his prescriptions and took him home, we were off to OM. The team accomplished a lot of the little things they still needed to do. They decided that they need to meet every night this week, "just to make sure."
Tomorrow's meeting is going to be devoted to paperwork, making sure people realize that they can't change things at this point, and working on spontaneous problems.
We talked to the parents about the "blue moon" possibility of going to Boulder. They all immediately said "YES!!" and the only other comment was from a dad who wants to drive. I am glad, because I would hate for them to be given the opportunity to go and then not be able to.
Tomorrow is school and OM. Yes, I am a meanie... I am probable the only OM mom who is making them do their weeks worth of school before we go. Considering that we have a Div. 3 meeting every evening and a Div. 1 meeting on both Tuesday and Friday, it is going to make for a fun week!
Today I spent looking around the web at the requirements for graduation at some local schools. What an eye opener! Even the uber expensive prep schools don't require as much as I thought I was going to.
After talking to Marie yesterday we have a different plan of action for Christian. Hopefully, it will work!
